Anne and her family had hid in the secret annex for a total of two years, those were a very hard two years full of suspense, captivity, and a lot of different emotions and conflicts. But those two years would end very quickly. On august 1, 1944 anne had made her last diary entry. Three days later months of peacefulness ended, with the arrival of the nazi gestapo, Anne and the rest of her family and former housemates were given away by an unkown informer, people still till this day have no clue who and why someone would tell on anne frank and her family.
